Heritage Open Days 2026

We will be open for short tours on Friday 18th September and Saturday 19th September, from 11am until 3pm. There is no booking system; just meet in the High Street gatehouse. Our Heritage Open Days tours last around 15 minutes and are free.

Jazz in the courtyard is back! On Saturday 19th September, Guildford Jazz present The Alvar Treefrogs as part of the Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival.

Come and enjoy their New Orleans jazz in our Upper Courtyard, from 3pm to 5pm, and visit our Chapel and Common Hall.

Regular tours

Our regular guided tours provide an opportunity to see inside our unique Grade 1 Listed Building. These tours are available on Thursdays and Fridays each week at 11am, and on the first Tuesday of each month at 11am and 2pm.

This year our tours run from Thursday 2nd April through until Friday 30th October 2026, except that there will be no tours on:

  • Good Friday, 3rd April
  • Thursday 1st October
  • Friday 2nd October
  • Thursday 29th October .

There is no need to book – just meet us inside the iron gate.

We ask a minimum of £6 per adult; nothing for under 16s.

Tours last approximately 45 minutes

Private tours

We welcome pre-booked tour groups by arrangement throughout the year. Please contact the Master on master@abbotshospital.org
